Water quality monitoring system in aquaculture environment based on internet of things

Koi fish is a popular national ornamental fish commodity. Koi fish are in demand by the public because of their beautiful shapes, patterns, and colours. Several parameters that influence the development of koi fish include temperature and power of hydrogen (pH). Unstable temperature and pH conditions cause koi fish to become stress. One of the causes of this condition is that the water conditions are not ideal. Koi fish maintenance is optimal when water conditions are ideal. This research aims to create an application system that can monitor water quality conditions in the koi fish environment using a NodeMcu microcontroller based on the internet of things (IoT). There are five sensors, namely water temperature, water pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), total dissolved solid (TDS), and Turbidity. The sensor retrieves condition data of fishpond, which received by NodeMcu, then stored and processed on the Firebase server. Notification of water quality will be sent in real-time. Then, users can monitor sensor data and actuator control using fuzzy logic with an android device as visualization.
