WED to the Magic: Alcorn excelled as walt disney imagineering’s first female engineer

One of the most iconic images in four of the Disney parks around the world is the “Partners” statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse, hands enjoined, welcoming guests to the wonders that await in Anaheim, California; Orlando, Florida; Paris; and Tokyo. Walt and Mickey have been the everlasting gatekeepers of the Disney theme parks since Disneyland opened in 1955.
