Silver Nano Materials Coated Textiles for Antiviral Protection

The SARS-CoV-2 virus-caused Corona pandemic is fast spreading over the world, and COVID-19 is projected to emerge from Wuhan, China, in late December 2019. On the other hand, Virus-caused public health crises pose a serious threat to people all over the world. The public's understanding of virus prevention is increasing daily in the present situation. One of the most promising areas of protective textiles is antiviral textiles. Antiviral textiles play an important /role in the health and hygiene sector. When a pandemic situation arises, it becomes an essential part of our daily lives. Nanotechnology's recent advancements give a fresh platform for dealing with the virus-resistant problem. Nano coating has boosted antiviral action on fabrics as compared to traditional coating. Antiviral activities of silver nanoparticles can help the host's resistance against infections. The current review paper describes the effectiveness of silver nanomaterials coated textiles for antiviral protection.
