An Inventory system with Modified (s, S) Ordering Policy

In this article, We look at a continuous review on perishable inventory with a finite number of homogeneous demand sources. S is the maximum storage capacity. The inventory is replenished using a modified (s, S) ordering technique. Each item's lifespan is considered to be exponential. When the inventory size hits zero, the server takes an exponentially distributed break time. The duration of a server's break time is distributed in an exponential manner. Demands that arise during stock-outs or server break time are thrown into orbit. These orbiting demands emit signals in order to compete for their exponentially dispersed demand. If the server returns to the system to find empty stock, he immediately takes another break. And when the server discovers the optimistic inventory does he end his break. In the steady state case, the joint probability distribution of the inventory amount and the number of demands in orbit is obtained. Various performance measures are calculated, and the effects are numerically represented.
