Single-Phase Triple-Gain 7-Level (3G7L) Inverter

In this study, a triple-gain 7-level (3G-7L) switched-capacitor based multilevel is presented, which utilizes single DC source. Important advantages of suggested structure include: Reduced switches, enhanced (three-fold) gain and low voltage-stress on devices. The voltage-balancing of capacitors is occurred naturally, with no need to complicated balancing methods and circuits. The suggested converter can efficiently supply variety of load types, from zero to unity power-factor loads. Due to very short discharging duration of capacitors, their voltage ripple is small. The supremacy of suggested configuration over similar counterparts has been proven by comparative analysis. Also, the correct operation of suggested converter has been performed through simulation analysis.
