Experimental Investigation of Acoustic Wave Shift Angles And Attenuation in Acousto-Light Guide

The work is devoted to the modification of the Dixon-Cohen method in order to determine all the parameters of the material of acousto-light guide that affect its acousto-optical efficiency. A method of the experimental study of determining the angles shift and attenuation of the acoustic wave in acousto-light guide is proposed. The necessity need of a such extensive experimental control is associated with the complex structure of the acoustic wave beams during their excitation, transformation and propagation in anisotropic materials. Known experimental methods solve this problem only partially. The results of experimental approbation of the proposed method are given. CaWO4 crystals of straight sections were selected as the model material.
