Acceptability of Internet of Medical Laboratory Things among Female Medical Laboratory Professionals in Jos-Nigeria

Internet of things is generally becoming the norm in all works of life ranging from Public Administration, Business Management, Education, Law, Health and above all Computer science. This has given room for internet of Medical laboratory Things (IoMLTs) in healthcare services. A survey of female Medical Laboratory professionals was carried out in Jos with the help of Google forms and Whatsapp to determining the acceptability and use of IoMLTs in Medical Laboratory Services in Jos-Nigeria. The result shows that female medical laboratory professionals are aware of IoMLTs (77%), accepts and agrees to use of IoMLT equipment (98%), accepts sharing of medical laboratory results with clients via internet (88%). However, IoMLT compliant equipment are not available in 56% of the respondents while internet is not available for 24 hours in 54% of the respondents. The use of android phones (64%), Laptop (50%), desktop (25%) and tablet (13%) was observed and shows that IoMLTs are better used in android or small gadgets. The IoMLTs is accepted among female Medical Laboratory professionals in Jos. There is a need to provide 24 hours internet services, IoMLT compliant equipment in medical laboratory facilities in Jos by government or the institutions as a motivation to medical laboratory professionals and medical laboratory clients for satisfaction
