Design of a Miniaturized, High Gain, Anti-Jam Global Positioning System (GPS) Antenna

A circular array consisting of 4 miniaturized dipole antenna elements is proposed for anti-jam GPS applications. Each dipole element utilizes top loading to reduce the element size and t-matching reduce the spacing close to a reflector. The electrical size, kr, of the antenna is 0.95. The radius of the reflector is 0.67λ. The array design exhibits a gain of 10.5 dBi and an axial ratio below 3 dB across the L1 band.
