The Effectiveness of Using Recording, Synchronous Communication, and Sharing Information Tools in Training to Improve the Teachers' Instructional Process and Outcome

Training is one of the supervision techniques that is mostly used to improve the instructional ability of teachers. The rapid development of technology, training activities are also supported by information and communication technology tools. These devices can be used as a recording device, synchronous communication, and also for information sharing. However, so far it is not known how high the effectiveness of the three classifications of tools is in improving the teachers' instructional process and outcome. This study aims to reveal this. This research was conducted in Malang, with a total sample of 59 teachers who were taken through cluster random sampling technique. The data analysis technique used Pearson product-moment correlation and multiple regression. The results of the initial analysis show that six tools show a significant positive correlation with the quality of the teacher's instructional process and outcomes, namely WhatsApp, Google Meet, Zoom, Skype, and Website. The five tools can be classified into two, namely as tools of synchronous communication and information sharing. The results of the further analysis show that of the two classifications, it is the information sharing tool that has a higher effect and significant effect on the quality of the teachers' instructional process and outcomes.
