Wavelength Division Multiplexed PMC-SH Link with Adaptive Polarization Control

We propose a multi-channel polarization multi-plexed carrier based self homo-dyne (PMC-SH) link with adaptive polarization control by employing wavelength division mul-tiplexing (WDM). This proposed link offers local oscillator (LO)-less reception with simple signal processing requirements which leads to low-cost and low-power solution for terabits short-reach data centre interconnects. Simulations results for 400 Gbps (2 channels, 50 Gbaud/channel, 16-QAM) WDM-PMC-SH link are presented to validate the proposed concept.
