Terahertz Surface Plasmon Propagation in Metal Dielectric Metal Waveguide with Corrugated Surface

A three dimensional Double Layered Metallic Plas-monic waveguide is studied by patterning the surface of metallic plates with an array of various types of corrugations to obtain low loss and highly confined terahertz radiation propagation. Here we demonstrate that the corrugations on metallic surface is assumed as lossy medium which support confined surface wave propagation in THz range which are otherwise not supported by smooth metallic surface. The surface modes is observed in the structure by patterning one plate by using finite difference time domain numerical simulation.
