Composite Films Based on Chitosan Succinate and Food Chitosan as Anticoagulant Coatings

This research work demonstrates a comparison of anticoagulant properties of a coating based on chitosan succinate and food chitosan by Raman spectrometry. A solution with bovine serum albumin is used as an assessment for anticoagulant activity. The presented results indicate a greater anticoagulant effect of chitosan succinate, due to the smoothness and electronegativity of the film.
