Development of Signal Generator for Calibrating ECG Devices

This work is devoted to the development of an electrocardiographic patient signal generator for calibrating and assessing the performance of electrocardiographic systems. The relevance of the development is associated with the rapid development of modern medical science and technology, and the emergence of more and more complex and high-tech diagnostic equipment, which increases the complexity of assessing the serviceability of medical equipment. To achieve the goal, an algorithm for generating signals of a complex shape was developed, using pre-prepared tables of samples of generated signals. The hardware of signal generator was developed, which operates on the principle of direct conversion of digital signal samples into analog low-amplitude signal of complex shape. Based on the developed software and algorithmic complex, as well as the hardware, a fully functional prototype of proposed device was manufactured.
