Sensor for Measuring the Distance to Metal Surfaces based on a Decelerating System

This article is concerned with investigating the possibility of using a deceleration system-based sensor to measure the distance to a flat metal surface with a sensing element in the form of a deceleration system consisting of two connected flat spiral inductance coils (inductors) with the opposite winding direction.
