Automated Control System for Electric Drives with the Integration of Programmable Relays and Active Filters

Currently, there is an active modernization of automatic control systems for electric drives of ship mechanisms in connection with the emergence of new automation devices that provide multichannel control. The paper considers topical issues of modernization of control systems, reviews the areas of application of the new programmable relays OWEN PR103, providing continuous information transfer via the Ethernet protocol. The issue of integration of power active filters in the power supply circuit of an electric drive during the modernization of automatic control systems is also considered. An analysis of the areas of application of active filters has been carried out, a test system has been designed that includes electric drives of compressors and an automated multichannel control system with integrated active filters. The tests were carried out, the results of which showed an increase in the efficiency of the automation systems due to the provision of high parameters of the load current of the electric drive and the provision of communication with the OVEN PLC110 programmable logic controllers.
