Synthesis Peculiarities of Photocatalytic Materials Based on Zinc Oxide

Low-temperature solution methods for the synthesis of the materials based on zinc oxide nanorods were investigated in this paper. Narrow-band semiconductors were deposited on ZnO nanorods to form a heterojunction. The morphology, composition and activation energy of the obtained samples were investigated. Their photocatalytic activity was also tested in experiments on the methyl orange decomposition under UV radiation and visible (white) light.
