Wideband CPW Fed Square Ring Slot Antenna for applications of ISM Band

This work proposes a planar, wideband, co-planar waveguide fed small antenna for biomedical applications. The introduced implantable antenna comprises a square dual-ring slot in one plane and is simulated using Kapton polyimide substrate which has a dimension of 10 × 10 × 0.2 mm3 to achieve biocompatibility as well as great flexibility. The “Industrial Scientific and Medical” bands are covered by this proposed wideband antenna. Simulation of the antenna parameters such as return loss, impedance matching, voltage standing wave ratio, radiation pattern, and gain using commercially available High-Frequency Simulation Software.
