Efficient Driver Circuit Design ameliorating MPPT Tracking at Solar based Lithium Ion Battery Charging

This paper deals with the efficiency enhancement of the power processing circuit with the driver circuit design which ameliorate MPPT tracking function for charging of the Lithium Ion battery interfaced with solar photovoltaic cell. The Synchronous buck converter is the final power processing circuit which has been developed with its driver circuit which responses as function of MPPT algorithm. The final hardware designed for 55W of the charging power at 31.5 KHz switching frequency and 10A system design taken into consideration. The final efficiency of the system achieved more than 94%. The integration of MPPT algorithm with power processing system works as function of high switching frequency is optimized along with the dead band appeared to achieve high power conversion efficiency. The efficiency of the system enhanced up to 94% by systematic alteration and addition of components in power circuit with simultaneous observation at LTSPICE and hardware input and output power. The system tested under various MPPT algorithms for observing the system efficiency along with maximum power point tracking. But only P&O MPPT algorithm has been mentioned in this paper
