Study on 340 GHz Wave Scintillation Characteristics Based on Experimental Data

the near ground scintillation characteristic at the frequency of 340 GHz is analyzed based on the experimental data. The experiment is carried in the outdoor instead of the lab to study the real atmospheric influence on the propagation of 340 GHz wave. Results show The near ground scintillation is relatively weak in this frequency. And the probability density function of the scintillation amplitude conforms to Gaussian distribution. The correlation between meteorological parameters and scintillation index S4 in June is studied. It is concluded that water vapour density is the main factor that affect the scintillation at 340 GHz.
