Wideband metasurface electromagnetic energy harvester with polarization insensitivity

Wideband metasurface electromagnetic energy har-vester is proposed with polarization insensitivity. A metasurface unit cell is composed of four rectangular blocks and an inscribed ring. The load is connected to the metal floor through 4 through holes. Electromagnetic energy is captured and consumed in the load. Experimental simulation results show that in the 5.1GHz-6.2GHz frequency band, the working efficiency of the metasurface unit exceeds 90%, and the relative wideband is 18.97%. The working wideband with a working efficiency of more than 50% is 76.55%. The electromagnetic energy harvester also has polarization insensitive characteristics.
