Study on the Scattering Coefficients of the Cement Surface at 28GHz

The scattering properties of the cement surface play an important role in determining time and angle dispersion of the fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication in urban environment. The 28 GHz scattering distribution of the rough cement wall surface (RCWS) were acquired by the outdoor environment experiment at different incidence angles in this paper. The measurements reveal that the dlstributions of the scattering signals don't conform to the Lambert distribution used in the conventional ray tracing. The scattering coefficient reaches up to the maximum near the specular direction compared with the Lambert distribution, Moreover the other direction is less than the specular one. The scattering coefficients can be applied to simulate the signal propagation in urban environments to improve the reliability of the system.
