The Pest FAW Infestation Detection in Maize Fields using Deep Learning

Maize is a vital food in India, which provides a higher level of economic growth for the farmers. However, insect infestations prevented corn from producing healthy kernels. In this case, IoT (Internet on Things) is used in conjunction with Deep learning which eases to mitigate and prevent. E-SWFRN (Enhanced Speckle Warner built on Faster RCNN) model is used to spot the hidden pest through odor-based identification. This study implements the concept of object detection and IoU to increase the accuracy. The model has been initiated to check performance of the sample and has seen improved accuracy by 6% over the previous model.
