Threshold based Adaptive Scheduling for Multi-User MIMO Networks

Threshold based Adaptive Scheduling (TAS) is proposed to improve the network performance such as Sum Capacity (SC) of MU-MIMO (Multi-user Multi Input Multi Output) systems and compared with other Scheduling algorithms. Five groups are simulated with 10 samples (each group) for 16 iterations with 80 % pretest power. Threshold based Adaptive Scheduling for MU-MIMO is implemented under Alamouti Space Time Block Code (STBC) transmission. For sum capacity analysis, two transmitting antennas, two receiving antennas at each base station, Rayleigh channel, and AWGN noise are used. The obtained results through simulation show that TAS has the mean sum capacity of 25.34 b/sec/hz and DTS has obtained 24.94b/s/hz with the low significant value (i.e. p < 0.05). It is observed from the simulation results, the TAS performs significantly better in sum capacity performance compared to other scheduling algorithms.
