A Design Method of Ethernet Data Wired Transmission for Towed Measurement System

This paper presents a design method of ethernet data wired transmission of the water towed measurement system. This method first uses User Datagram Protocol (UDP) to make the operation vessel and the unmanned measurement platform send heartbeat data to each other, and then when the heartbeat data is received correctly and no timeout occurs, the operation vessel as a Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) client communicates with the TCP server of the unmanned measurement platform through TCP mode. This method has been verified and applied in many practical sea trials, and achieved good practical results.
