A Survey of DeepFakes Generation and Detection

The abuse of DeepFakes poses a potential threat to individuals and society. In order to eliminate the negative effects of DeepFakes techniques, researchers have conducted in-depth research on the detection of DeepFakes. Despite the remarkable progress, there is still a lack of systematic summarization of DeepFakes generation and detection techniques due to the different focus of researchers. In this paper, the development of DeepFakes generation and detection technology is reviewed, and the existing approaches and datasets are systematically summarized and scientifically classified. In doing so, we hope to provide a reference for further research in the field of DeepFakes detection.
