APPENDIX B: SAMPLE QUESTIONNAIRE

This is the questionnaire used with all students across the ten campuses in our study. For the other constituencies (e.g., faculty, administrators, parents, trustees, young alums, and job recruiters), the same basic questions were asked but were sometimes slightly reworded as appropriate. For example, whereas we asked students, "What kinds of instruction (in class) are most effective for you?" we would ask adult constituencies, "What kinds of instruction (in class) are most effective for students?" Or, when we asked students "What have been your biggest struggles in college?".
