Autonomous and Generalized Soft Failure Detection based on Digital Residual Spectrum in Optical Networks

We propose and experimentally demonstrate an autonomous and generalized soft failure detection scheme using Auto-Encoder and digital residual spectrum. False negative rate (FNR) for five transmission systems is below 3.87% with the same trained model.
