Advanced Fiber Sensing Leveraging Coherent Systems Technology for Smart Network Monitoring

We show that coherent technology developed in the past decade for transmission over core optical networks can benefit to Distributed Fiber Sensing technology in various fields as sensitivity, sensing range, and coexistence with data traffic. ©2021 The Author(s)
