Research Progress of Nickel-Rich Ternary Cathode in Lithium Battery

Nickel-rich ternary cathode materials have attracted great attentions due to their high specific discharge capacity, high voltage platform, environmental friendliness and rich nickel resources. In this paper, the research and development status of nickel rich ternary cathode materials in recent years are reviewed. The existing problems and solutions of the materials are discussed in detail. The future development of nickel rich ternary cathode materials is prospected.
