Long-Range Contorl of Hybrid Cockroach Robots Carried with Ejectable Microphone

This paper presents preliminary stimulus-response relationship based on behavior analysis of cockroach subject to stimulus pulses corresponding to randomly applied right and left turn, and stop commands. We present our stimulus circuit setup designed for precise control and long-range communication. we also build a microphone module to meet the requirements of miniaturization and long-distance control. Furthermore, a micro-rejector is connected to stimulus the microphone circuit module, and then the microphone module receiving commands is ejected. This study paves the way towards the practical applications of cockroach hybrid robots in search and surveillance mission.
