Configurable Plasma Antenna with Laser Control

The concept of creating configurable plasma antennas controlled by laser radiation is proposed. The working efficiency of the proposed concept was experimentally confirmed by studying a system of loop antennas, in the circuit of which a photoresistor was used as a semiconductor element. We have studied the reflection coefficient variation of such antennas in the range between 10 and 18000 MHz during exposure of the semiconductor element by λ=450 nm of variable intensity. It was demonstrated that loop antenna reflection coefficient changes along with the variation of intensity of the laser radiation, falling on the photoresistor surface. This may give us an opportunity to control the alignment of the antenna with the radio-receiving path.
