Conceptual Model of Perspective Carrier Ethernet Transport Communication Network Control System for Public Joint Stock Company «Russian Railways»

The aim of this paper is designing a conceptual transport communication network control system using Carrier Ethernet technology for ensuring a required functioning efficiency in view of forehanded and reasonable making the management decisions for transport communication network under the conditions of high dynamics of state transition and taking into account characteristics of Carrier Ethernet technology. Therefore, for the purpose of quality-guaranteed service provisioning a conceptual model of three-level control system for transport communication network that designates place and role of the multi-agent management system is provided. For achieving the given problem an algorithmic structure of this conceptual model functioning is also created. Methods: designing of the conceptual model and its algorithmic structure is performed using fundamentals of complex process control, multi-agent systems of distributed objects control and simulation modeling principles. The modeling results of particular processes are obtained within the proposal transport communication network control conception. Results: the obtained conceptual model of transport communication network control system that applies control and management processes to the states of Carrier Ethernet network elements (Operation, Administration and Maintenance principles, OAM) and developed algorithmic structure of this model are mathematically described. Besides, authors give an evaluation of the aim achieving efficiency according to which it has been determined the rise of realization operability with regarding to processes for transport network state management and control (due to using the original control and management mechanisms for the states of transport network based on Carrier Ethernet) and on-time delivering of control information for the transport network reconfiguration. The practical significance is that the proposed model is differ from other models by an opportunity of including in it a complex of perspective models for Carrier Ethernet transport network functioning and management with OAM mechanisms that allow to form the network control system using Carrier Ethernet instruments so that this system satisfies to the requirements of control cycle realization operability and makes it possible to minimize a financial and technical resources
