Robotic Systems in Road Construction

This article is based on the problem of improving the quality and safety of road construction works, the introduction of advanced technologies for the mechanization of road machinery and equipment, as well as reducing the share of manual labor. The article gives examples of small innovative robotic systems that take up less space during road repair, thus allowing to unload the road transport structure, thereby having a positive impact on the economic component in several areas of work at once, such as logistics companies, and the road works themselves. The assessments of the prospects for the full automation of production processes in industry by Russian scientists are considered. The paper proposes an autonomous system for robotic control of the working body of a bulldozer when erecting a road on the canvas. The possibility of using a more modern stand-alone with laser devices. The work of the Trimble GCS900 3D system, a system of automatic control and position control of the working body, is analyzed. Examples of the most popular machines in road construction, the composition and purpose of a mini-laboratory, the functions of which are performed by a robotic installation, are given.
