DNA and KAMLA Approaches in Metamorphic Cryptography: An Evaluation

In the internet age, many types of information sharing need the security services outlined in X.SOO. Confidentiality of sensitive data is one of the security services mentioned in X.SOO and is very desired in today’s digital environment. Encrypting sensitive data with the use of secret keys aids in data secrecy. This is referred to as cryptography. The primary weakness of cryptographic techniques is that the encoding messages that were or were created as output after the encryption operation may attract hostile users through communication channels. They could conduct brute force assaults or cryptanalysis. Steganographic techniques overcome this drawback of cryptographic systems. One may hide hidden information in a carrier using a steganographic technique. The carrier might be in the form of text, audio, picture, or video. The primary restriction of steganography is that if any steganographer becomes aware that anything is concealed inside the carrier, the aim of steganography is defeated. This thesis explores a strategy that makes use of both cryptography and steganography ideas. Encryption was performed using a DNA encoding method. Kekre’s Advanced Multiple Least Significant Bits Substitution technique was used to conceal the data. The simulation results indicate that the proposed technique is advantageous in terms of payload capacity, resilience, visual detection, and speed.
