Study on the application of the Mass Communication Technology in Ideological and Political

With the development of science and technology, human beings enter into the information society, accompanied by the growth of various new technologies. Thus mass communication inaugurates the era of mass media, which provides opportunities and brings great convenience for the ideological and political education. Meanwhile, the ideological and political education confronts a great challenge. The mass media provides modern channels and means which also expands the influence and difficulty of ideological and political education. How to effectively use the mass media as a carrier of the ideological and political education is very worthy to be considered. This study uses a narrative qualitative approach by introducing the situation and concept of the research of the ideological and political education under the mass media environment, clarifying characteristics and classification of the mass media at home and abroad, and discussing the positive effects and negative effects of mass media. The way to deal with negative effects is given for the mass media to better serve the ideological and political education.
