Discrete Bessel-based Arnoldi method for nonparaxial wave propagation

A discrete Bessel transform has been applied to the modified Arnoldi method to investigate propagation of cylindrical beams in both free space and a graded index waveguide. We compare the method to the Lanczos method and show its superb performance in modeling small beams with high resolution.
