Need-Based Performance Evaluation of Mobile Cellular Network In Institution of Learning

This paper is focused on an analysis of the Service quality received by the students of Nile University in Abuja. Data Collection was done using a TEMS Pocket device, connected to a TEMS Investigation software 15 installed on a Laptop. Analysis was done using MapInfo. The results show that there are poor signal power received throughout the entire test area for one of the Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) tested. Some of the causes of the errors include; Missing Neighbor Cells, the rocks, the water body, Traffic Channel (TCH) congestion and distance from the Serving Station.
