Multi-Item Capacitated Lot-Sizing Problem with Parallel Resources, Setup times and costs: A case study

In a highly competitive Market, the industrial company must control all of its costs while meeting customer demands in order to ensure its sustainability. In this context, the production planning has become the core of the performance of the company and an important research domain that has interested a lot of researchers. In this work, we formulate the production planning problem of a manufacturing company in the field of plastics processing as multi-items capacitated lot sizing problem with parallel resources and setup times and costs. The objective here is to determine the best combination product-machine-period that leads to the satisfaction of the customer demands with minimum costs.
