Condensation Behaviors of Droplet under the Gravity Effect on Hydrophobic Surface by Using the Hybrid Thermal Pseudopotential LBM Model

In this paper, the multi-relaxation time pseudopotential lattice Boltzmann model (MRT-LBPM) coupled with the explicit 2-order Runge-Kutta scheme are used to model the phase change producing droplets that form on a surface of adjustable density and fall under the body force (Gravity). The choice of this model is based on the idea that the separation of the phases is performed automatically due to the pseudopotential function
$\psi(x)$
that depends on the density of the coexisting densities in the system. This model is tested in the cases of wettability, Laplace's law and droplet condensation on a solid surface. The results obtained are compared with those obtained in the literature and show a good agreement with the latter. which is presented as a characteristic time and namely the way in which the droplet leaves the wetting surface under the effect of gravity.
