Research on Power Flow Control Strategy of Weak Grid Based on Series-shunt Combined Converter

With the increasing penetration rate of distributed energy, the strength of the power grid is getting weaker and weaker. The stability problems and the limited power transmission capacity caused by this are worth studying. This paper proposes a series-shunt combined power converter topology, which is connected to a weak grid for power flow control of the power grid, so as to realize a reasonable distribution of power flow of the power grid and improve the stability of power grid operation and power transmission capacity. In this paper, modeling and control system design of the series converter and the shunt converter are carried out respectively, and a cross-decoupling power flow control strategy is adopted. Through simulation verification, it is found that the control method can track the given signal of power flow more accurately, and the operation stability has been greatly improved.
