Reactive Power Distribution Strategy for Multi-source Power System Considering Long-distance Offshore Wind Farms

As the penetration rate of renewable energy increases, the voltage support capacity of multi-source system considering long-distance offshore wind farms needs to enhance due to the volatility of renewable energy output. Based on the reactive power output capacity of the multi-source system, two evaluation indexes $\Delta{Q}/\Delta{P}$ and $\Delta{Q}/\Delta{t}$ used to evaluate energy reactive power output capacity are proposed in terms of reactive power output margin and response time, respectively. Prioritizing to the voltage regulating capacity of renewable energy sources to reduce carbon emissions and considering reactive power output response time $\Delta{Q}/\Delta{t}$ is more important than output margin $\Delta{Q}/\Delta{P}$, a reactive power distribution strategy combined with the analytic hierarchy process is proposed in this paper for multi-source participation in the voltage regulation of the receiving end power grid. Case study results in the scenario of voltage fluctuation at the receiving end power grid verify that the proposed reactive power distribution strategy can guarantee the system voltage stability.
