Multi-Time Scale Optimal Dispatch of Power Grid Based on Virtual Flexible Load

Wind power curtailment or load loss is caused by the insufficient regulation ability of power system. To deal with the influence of wind power fluctuations, this paper proposes a multi-time scale optimal dispatch method based on virtual flexible load. The ramp ability between wind power and thermal power is compared and the valley changes caused by wind power is analyzed, and the characteristics of second-level response energy storage, minute-level response self-owned power plants, and hour-level response cooling and heating load is analyzed, and a multi-time scale dispatch strategy and benefit evaluation method is established. Finally, the dispatch model which has the least cost of curtailment, load loss, thermal power operation cost, and minimum dispatch goal of dispatch virtual flexible load cost as the maximum consumption of wind power as the basis. The feasibility of the dispatch method is verified in practical example in this paper.
