A Multi - Dimensional Fine Portrait of Residential Power Users’ Interactive Behaviors

Due to China’s electricity cross-subsidy mechanism, electricity prices for urban residents have been at a low level, and the potential for residents’ load energy saving and interaction with the grid company is enormous. However, residents’ power consumption is highly subjective, with single household load capacity, large quantity, randomness and inter-household differences, making it difficult to develop demand response mechanisms and strategies for residents. Fine-grained profiling of customers’ electricity interaction behavior could help customers adjust their power consumption behavior according to their own demand and market information, which could support load aggregators and grid enterprises to understand the interaction behavior of customers in their jurisdictions and be important for corporations to formulate interactive user solicitation and price/incentive response strategies. Based on the non-intrusive identification of fine-grained residents’ load historical measurement data and residents’ household appliance usage research statistics, the evaluation system of urban residents’ electricity interaction behavior is established from four dimensions, including energy consumption and load dimension, adjustable potential, behavioral awareness and user characters. The calculation method of each evaluation index is proposed, and the intuitive visual image design is used to realize a multidimensional and refined picture of urban residential electricity interaction behavior. Through the visual image design, the multi-dimensional and refined portrait of urban residents’ interactive behavior is realized, so as to deeply explore the value of urban residents’ interaction with electricity and provide decision basis and method support for demand response.
