Edge node deployment based on Clustering of Internet of things terminal attributes

With the rapid development of the Internet of Things technology, the performance requirements for data transmission between terminal devices are getting higher and higher. However, the edge computing generated by this situation can well allocate data computing resources, realize more efficient and faster data processing and upload to the cloud. This paper proposes and implements an edge node deployment method based on Clustering of Internet of things terminal attributes to build cluster networks. Firstly, we design an algorithm of finding the deployment location of edge computing nodes by merging clustering. Then, factors such as the power supply of the devices, the amount of data, and energy remaining of edge computing nodes are comprehensively considered in terms of using clustering method. Finally, the resulting deployment topology network is optimized in the case of unbalanced and unstable data distribution of these nodes. The simulation experiment verifies that the method can accurately and reliably obtain the position of the edge computing nodes, and generate a clustering topology network under the condition of ensuring the balance.
