Fixed-Time Sliding Mode Control for the Boost Converter

To achieve fixed-time stabilization of converters and suppress the negative influences brought by the load fluctuations and parameter uncertainty, this paper discusses a fixed-time Sliding Mode Control (SMC) that is applied in the boost converter. Firstly, establish a basic model of the boost converter to analyze operating modes under different conditions. Secondly, a sliding mode surface and controllers are designed for the converter with known parameters, which ensure a fixed-time for the output voltage to reach the reference value. Thirdly, in the condition that the value of some parameters, such as resistances or inductances, is not precisely obtained, adaptive control is improved to help guarantee the stability of the output voltage as the converter parameter changes. Finally, the above works are simulated and verified in MATLAB/Simulink
