Design on Dynamic Monitoring System of Wide Area Transmission Line Based on Meteorological Parameters

With the rapid increase of electricity demand and a large number of renewable energies connected to the grid, the dynamic transmission of the grid is facing increasingly great difficulties. The dynamic monitoring technology of load flow is considered as an effective auxiliary means to improve the transmission efficiency of the grid. Therefore, this paper proposes a method for calculating ampacity based on meteorological parameters, and then constructs wide area dynamic monitoring system for current-carrying capacity. First, the system collects the operating parameters and meteorological information of the field wire through the wide-area on-line monitoring device of carrying capacity and the meteorological instrument. Then this system calculates the line carrying capacity information in real time, and uploads it to the management platform, which forms the wide-area real-time carrying capacity threshold, provides auxiliary decision-making information for power grid dispatching. Based on this system, the level of power grid dispatching control is optimized. The feasibility and economy of the system are verified by engineering case analysis, which provides effective technical support for improving renewable energy consumption across regions.
