Offloading and Delay Optimization Strategies for Power Services in Smart Grid for 5G Edge Computing

In recent years, with the rapid increase of data-intensive and computation-intensive applications in smart grid, how to realize and complete corresponding application requests by utilizing the powerful computing capacity of cloud computing and the response characteristics of communication resources and short-time transmission of edge computing has become an urgent problem to be solved in the current smart grid. This paper studies the timely delay optimization of power business unloading based on 5G edge computing, which mainly solves the unloading decision problem faced by power terminal equipment unloading hybrid tasks to edge server or cloud server. First, this scheme considers the average delay weighted sum of unloading hybrid critical tasks. Secondly, the dynamic penalty function is introduced in this scheme, which breaks through the shortcoming of the traditional power grid system that can not provide deterministic service for deterministic business. Finally, the paper puts forward an improved solving Lagrange multiplier algorithm, in the precondition of unloading the success rate of higher priority task, get minimum cost of overall system time delay in the unloading plan simulation results show that compared with the traditional task processing schemes, the proposed scheme can effectively improve the system overall revenue, reduce the average user task delay.
