A new approach to Analysis the Impact of Demand Side Management for Temperature Control Load Consideration in a Test Bus System

As worldwide a great concern arises over global warming and thermostatically controlled (TCL) loads plays an important role to increase the carbon footprint by consuming more electrical energy, demand-side management becomes an essential requirement to reduce the unwanted power consumption by different type of TC loads. This paper describes the possibility of demand-side management (DSM) on the network for TC loads. Also, this study analyzed an optimal power flow (OPF) convergence for a grid network for TCL regarding separate demand hours by potential extra demand requirement for daily consumption with the DSM possibility for different consumption hours. If this type of analysis is conducted on an active grid system the required savings in power consumption can be obtained and applied to the grid network system.
