Real Time Liveness Detection and Face Recognition with OpenCV and Deep Learning

Face has been used to identify people since the beginning of time. Face recognition and liveness detection in real time is a rapidly growing research area. In this paper, a real-time GUI (Graphical User Interface) based system with the combination of facial liveness detection and face recognition has been implemented. This proposed system is capable of detecting spoofing or fakeness. After detecting a real person, the system can determine whether or not the individual is known. This paper covers building a camera-based system using open-source software which accuracy was found 99.33 percentages. This proposed system can also rename or delete a known person without requiring retraining.
