Thermo-optical Effect Dependent Absorption Enhancement in a Graphene Embedded LiNbO3 Based Cavity

Embedding graphene monolayer to the heterostructures has improved the absorption behavior in the nonmagnetic material-based photonic crystals significantly. Nowadays, research works focus on the absorption tunability of one-dimensional graphene-based photonic crystal (1D GBPC) structures. In this paper, the enhancement of temperature tunable absorption was explored using the proposed MgO doped Lithium Niobate-based cavity. This work includes the design procedure of cavity with highly nonlinear optical properties as well as the absorption behavior depending on various key factors, such as wavelength, polarization, angle of the incident light, chemical potential of the graphene layer, temperature etc. Enhanced temperature-dependent absorption tunability is demonstrated with an exceptional phenomenon of higher peak point in the oblique incidence of TE polarized light.
